Lisbon Photo map created.

We have tried to provide a clear map of Lisbon’s photo spots.
It is also a place of offering for the photos I took while walking all over Lisbon.

I only took these photos when I first came here, so I will be adding more spots in the future. Visit when you have time!。

It can be used as a photomap on a fixed page, while including the addition and deletion updates of spots and the overall Map settings in the WordPress admin panel.

Features include.

Creation and management of interactive maps

  • High performance map display using MapLibre GL JS
  • Manage maps with custom post type ‘Map List’
  • Configuration of map centre coordinates, zoom level and display range
  • Marker title display control (show/hide according to zoom level)

2. spot management system

  • Places spots with location information on a map
  • Set an image, title and description for each spot
  • Toggle display/hide of spots.
  • Category classification function
  • Drag & drop to adjust spot position

3. Image management and automatic EXIF acquisition

  • Automatic extraction of EXIF data (GPS coordinates) when uploading images
  • Thumbnail and full-size display of images
  • Image slider using Swiper.js
  • Image modal display using GLightbox

4. front-end function

  • Map display in full-screen mode
  • Spot search function
  • Category filtering
  • Marker clustering (groups a large number of spots)
  • Spot information panel (with image slider)
  • GoogleMap linkage (location search and route search)

5. SEO and SNS support

  • OGP (Open Graph Protocol) support
  • Twitter Card support
  • Custom metadata settings
  • Embedding settings

6. multilingual support

  • Integration with Polylang plug-in
  • Language switching function

The hardest part was finding and setting up the photos…
What I found troublesome was the mobile support, like Safari.

It is possible to make it into other languages in conjunction with the Polylang plugin, but translation is a hassle, so I put it off. It would be good to throw it to the translation API, but I need to think about timing and number of requests, so it’s a low priority.

Personally, I would be happy if this page is of some help in planning a trip.
In the future, I will try to add a model route and stamp rally function.
