TERRACOTA: A hidden café overlooking the open sky and pool

In Lisbon, cafés line the streets so densely that you’ll find one just a few metres away.
Amongst them, the café I recently discovered, TERRACOTA, isn’t even listed on Google Maps.

Near the photo spot where trams pass through narrow alleyways stands the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora.

If you head to the right of the entrance, a lovely garden is hidden away.

This is the exit of the monastery, but actually, if you enter through the entrance on the left and go further in, there is a quiet cafeteria tucked away.
It seems this place is still unknown, as there are hardly any people here.

The outdoor tables are the most popular.
You can enjoy your coffee break while gazing at the vast sky, the monastery, and the pool.

My wife reckons the lemonade here is the best in Portugal.

I recommend going round to the back and climbing the stairs, as you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Alfama district.

The location is here.
